"The Techion were formed by a small group of elite corporations focusing on high-tech research and manyfacture. They are sometimes employed and trusted by the TradeStars to do guard and escort duty.
Gameplay: The Techion prefers specialized expensive units equipped with exotic weapons.

Known until recently as the "Whitebot" faction and included as a stub in data files from past demos, active development of Techion units and the Techion arsenal has been reported by DataRealms since Build27. [2]
Featuring prominently in Cortex Command's opening cinematics and other artwork, the "Whitebot" soldiers with their white brainmech have yet to be seen in any builds or releases. It's said that the Mark I Dropship and one of the rockets used by the TradeStar are intended as Techion crafts. Prior to Build27, a laser rifle similar to the weapon held by a Techion in developer concept art was listed as a TradeStar item but was removed from the Buy menu; likewise for the Blaster Pistol. Possibly the Techion will field laser weaponry. Weaponry confirmed to be in development include a full range of "Pulsar" weapons, a "Warp Grenade" (offensive nature unknown), and both a grenade and a "goo" thrower which seems to be nanobot-based deconstructors.

Units
Only the Silver Man is strictly confirmed as in development. Some concept art has been recently released showing possible Techion infantry units.
Silver Man
Briefly described by the developers as "not the standard Techion trooper, more a terminator-like heavy", this may well be the unit named "Silver Bane" in developer concept art.
Whitebot
Presumed name for the standard Techion trooper seen is the opening cinematic. Occasionally called a "priest bot" for its thin, aescetic appearance and plain, dark-blue body armor. Believed to be light infantry.
Brain Mech
Presumed name for the brain unit seen in the opening cinematic. Characterized by shielding around its brain case head and for its large, aggressive appearance.
