Featuring prominently in Cortex Command's opening cinematics and other artwork, the "Whitebot" soldiers and Techion brainmech have yet to be seen in any builds or releases from DataRealms, though an empty ''Whitebots.rte'' has been present in past demos. Formerly they '''were''' called the Whitebot faction. It's highly likely that it is only a matter of time. Meanwhile, the modding community has made their own Whitebots.

Known until recently as the "Whitebot" faction and included as a stub in data files from past demos, active development of Techion units and the Techion arsenal has been reported by DataRealms since Build27.

Featuring prominently in Cortex Command's opening cinematics and other artwork, the "Whitebot" soldiers with their white brainmech have yet to be seen in any builds or releases. It's said that the Mark I Dropship and one of the rockets used by the TradeStar are intended as Techion crafts. Prior to Build27, a laser rifle similar to the weapon held by a Techion in developer concept art was listed as a TradeStar item but was removed from the Buy menu; likewise for the Blaster Pistol. Possibly the Techion will field laser weaponry. Weaponry confirmed to be in development include a full range of "Pulsar" weapons, a "Warp Grenade" (offensive nature unknown), and both a grenade and a "goo" thrower which seems to be nanobot-based deconstructors.

Speculation

With the corporate slogan "Your Future Today" the Techion can be expected to technologically outclass all other Techs, including the versatile Coalition. But unless their mining abilities are substantially better the expense of their units will put them at a numerical disadvantage. One heavy infantry is confirmed and one light infantry is almost certain as well. Following on the elvish analogy and elite status, they may be expected to balance numberical inferiority by being quick, agile, able to strike outside opponents's range or around cover, utilize exotic modes of attack from the norm, and use a combined-arms approach rather than brute force while taking hits or throwing bodies at bunkers.
